Salem Woods

Salem Woods is one of the last remaining large parcels of conservation land within the City of Salem. At one time Salem Woods was a common woodlot for the city. Over time, development has whittled away the original much larger forest. The remaining 129 acres of forest and wetlands support a diverse array of plants and animals. The Friends of Salem Woods advocate for the continued protection of the conservation land and maintain a website with a variety of photos, educational materials and a trail guide.
